This is the background to this course that offers a comprehensive overview of current regulations, enriched with an academic perspective. It also introduces the core concepts of prevention and safety at work, such as hazard, risk and harm, as well as company's health and safety organization and the roles of supervisory, control and assistance bodies.

The ultimate goal of this course is to promote a participative approach to workplace health and safety among workers. Therefore, the course aims to enhance the skills needed to improve work management from a health and safety perspective and to encourage active involvement in the processes of learning, changing and sharing best practices.
