Attending the course of Social Psychology, the student will gain the tools to well understand the social behavior of individuals. Additionally, the student will become expert with the methods typically deployed to conduct experiments in social psychology and s/he will gather the tool to evaluate the quality of experimental designs. Finally, the student will gain knowledge about the seminal studies of social psychology.
More specifically, the course will span across the main topics of Social Psychology, including self and self-presentation, attitudes, social perception and cognition, symbolic language and communication, social influence and persuasion, prosocial behavior, and groups dynamics.
