Our Advanced course will enable you to adapt your language to a variety of contexts and grasp different levels of meaning within those contexts. By the end of the course your language resources will include the flexible application of irony, idiomatic language and colloquial language well as the ability to understand, adapt to and participate in a wide range of social contexts. This is a video and situation-based course, with lots of opportunities to interact with the content and with the learning community. You will develop and practice your language skills as well as your grammar and vocabulary.

• A broad range of sophisticated language structures to express ideas, opinions and emotions, and to participate confidently at work and in social situations;
• Strategies for understanding meaning from context and for achieving detailed comprehension of longer, authentic written and spoken texts, like radio and cultural programs, newspapers and academic journals; 
• Features of English pronunciation, including intonation, to improve your spoken output; 
• Comprehensive and sophisticated vocabulary, including colloquial language, to enable discussion and and debate around broad-based and abstract topics  like art, music, food and finance; 
• An in-depth exploration of word-building, and the evolution of the English language.
